I know you might have said to yourself i will do it tomorrow today i am tired.Stop doing this and just do whatever you are planning to do all this time, it can be  writing your first book, learning something new and anything else. Don't think too much, start it and commit to it.

Don't make excuses

If you are trying to do something, first things first don't look at others and feel bad that you have not yet reached where they have reached. Just remember that you have just started and you will reach there too.

Exercise. Yeah as simple as that. The time you spend on scrolling YouTube shorts, Instagram reels and what not, can be spent in exercising and taking care of your body. Spare some time for workout, it can be from 20-40 mins and you would notice difference in your mood and your body.

What Is It

I've found that "good" and "bad" are subjective terms. So I will will not be referring to the types of habits as "good" or "bad." Instead, they will be:<ul><li>Constructive </li><li>Destructive </li></ul>

Types

Habits where the pros outweigh the cons.(Just like good and bad, the pros and cons of something are subjective. But I think they have less moral weight behind them.)Exercise is a great example of a constructive habit. You get tired and sore, but over time you become stronger, have more energy, and are overall happier.I call them constructive because you are building a better life with them.

Constructive Habits

Habits where the cons outweigh the pros.Smoking is a good example of this. While nicotine does calm you down, long term use results in major lung and health problems.I call them destructive because you are worsening what you currently have.

Destructive Habits

Doing something everyday for 30 days makes it a habit.Obviously it doesn't need to be that exact formula, but it is the most effective.In the same sense, not doing something for 30 days will break the habit. Not necessarily the urge, but the habit.Keep in mind that progress is not linear. There will be days that you fail. Do not use this as an excuse to not form or break your habit, but as a reason to be patient with yourself.

Consistency Is Key

Make a list of things you want to do but are not doing.Some habits need to be gradually built up to, and some can be started immediately.Gradual habits include:<ul><li>Exercise</li><li>Reading</li><li>Writing</li></ul>Anything that requires stamina to be built up is gradual. Immediate habits include:<ul><li>Hygiene</li><li>Tidying Up</li><li>Tracking Expenses</li></ul>Anything small enough to not require much energy, mental or physical, to do.
