But what they fail to see is that imbibing a growth mindset isn't as much about what your employer or organization would gain from it as it is about you growing fast.Whether you're an employee or business owner, decide today to make growth a priority.

Find a nice piece of paper, write an area of your life — say relationship or money — then below it, write down the things you want to see in that area. For example, if you write romantic relationships, under it, create a vision that appeals to you. Do you want a mutually satisfying relationship with your significant other? What kind of family would you like to raise? Write them all down .Do the same exercise for every other area of life. It may take hours or days to complete, but don't stop until you're done.

By the time you're done, you'll have been clear on what you want out of life. From now, you'll seize to live just for living sake, but every moment of the day, you'd know the reason for doing what you do. You'd become less distracted, more focused and less likely to make mistakes your future self would regret.

Pick a piece of paper to write down anything you want in life. Then below it, write down why you want it. For example, you may want financial freedom because you've been broke before and you don't want to return to that kind of life. Next, ask yourself the “why” behind the first why.Example: I want financial freedom because I don't want to go broke again. But why don't I want to be broke?Think about it and answer the question. Let's assume you don't want to be broke again because you were broke as a kid and it forced you to take on jobs you didn't like. Up next, ask the third why.

Understand the WHY behind your actions

Always repeat the want, followed by all the why's you've discovered before asking the next why. Do this until you've asked yourself seven times. Make sure it's seven! Not five, not eight, seven.As you approach and get to number seven, the reasons you begin to give will come right from your heart and that's your true WHY.

There's a hero in you as much as there's a villain in there, but the one you concentrate most on is the one that wins.Focus on your strengths. All through life, well meaning people have taught us to work on our weaknesses but how far has that advice taken us? For most people, the advice to work on weaknesses has only resulted in frustration. The truth is, you'd never be good at everything.Focusing on your weaknesses and failing will feed the villain in you which in turn waters down your confidence. Don't let it happen.

Deal with the enemy within

How do you identify a limiting belief or negative story you've been clinging to? All it takes is a little soul searching. When you consider starting something new like a business or getting married, what's the first thing you say to yourself? What's that first thought that comes to mind? If it goes something like “marriage is hard, no point trying or I'm not smart enough to grow a business from scratch” then, bingo, you just found the belief holding you back. Follow the trail of that thought, keep searching your soul and you'd find the story that's been keeping you.

Create a positive story for yourself

Your habits can either make or mar you; they either push you forward or limit you, so choose them wisely.The things you do daily are what come together to create the future big thing you're seeking. If you're going to have a more impactful career in the future, it's not up to what you do tomorrow, it's what you do today and the day that follows that will eventually add up to create the future you desire.Create an empowering story for your life. In every single market, people react differently, behave differently, and speak different languages. The point is: even when you think something works it probably doesn't work for everyone, and finding a framework that allows you to actually restructure and reorganize the things that you're doing to expose value in different ways to different people in different situations is a crucial thing.

High integrity I think speaks for itself. It's really easy to focus on short-term results. I just don't think there's enough of the long-term thinking, being able to take some arrows along the way in the short term because you're trying to build something for the long term, and having a culture and set of values where that’s rewarded.

Surrounding yourself with good people seems obvious but I see a lot of people who are just not comfortable recruiting people that are better than them.

While there were some modules you liked, there were usually also some modules you didn’t like. But you needed to work your way through all of them, not just the ones you liked.

How to Enjoy What You Are Doing No Matter What

Often, we need to do something we don’t like as a part of something larger which will give us big benefit in the future. For example, we take the modules we don’t like in college because it will eventually earn us a degree that gives us the opportunity to get a good job. It is unlikely that we need to do something we don’t like if there is no long-term benefit involved. By looking at the long-term benefit you will eventually acquire, the activity won’t look as bad as it is.

1. Look at the long-term benefit

I believe there is always something we can learn from every experience. If we can’t find one, that’s maybe just because we are too focused on the negative side rather than the positive. For example, European History which Joel talked about may help us learn from thousands of years of experiences so that we do not need to repeat the same mistakes people did. Besides, it can give us more potential common ground to connect with new people (especially with those who like history). If you really can’t find any, at least the experience teaches you to be persistent in any situation.

2. Find what you can learn from it

Love is a strong source of motivation. If you do something for someone you love, it’s very likely that you can stand even the most boring activity and even enjoy the process. So keep in mind that you do not do this for yourself, but for someone you love.

3. Think of doing it for someone you love

Your source of fun and enjoyment is not just the activity, but also the interaction with the people there. While the activity itself might not be very exciting, there might be a lot of rich experiences you can get from the interaction with the people. That’s also one reason to enjoy what you are doing.

4. Enjoy the interaction with the people

If you keep thinking or saying that you don’t like an activity, there is no way you can enjoy it. Always think and say something positive. The points above helps you find positive things you can think and say about. You may think of the long-term benefit you will get, or the nice interaction you have with the people. Focus on these positive things; don’t ever think or say something negative..
