So I worked as a graphic designer in couple of firms across different states in Nigeria. Most of these roles were full time and required me to always be in the office from Monday to Friday, until I worked out of the office in March, 2020. This was some weeks before I launched my startup.

After I walked out the office, I decided I wasn’t going to walk into an office anymore until I have developed myself to a certain level. So I switched to full time remote working. It’s not been very romantic I must say, a couple of setbacks, and I’ll share how I’ve found my way around them.

However, have a time separated to work when you put away social media, the TV, the Game and every other thing. This could just be 4 hours a day, but you’ll be amazed at how much you’ll achieve in this short time when your brain is energized.

Sometimes, I am tempted to just live on snacks and totally disregard some personal hygiene since I now spend most of my days in my boxers. But this made me dull and unmotivated most of the day, so I learnt to focus more on my personal hygiene and live more healthy. This has helped me become more productive as I can now focus on my work instead of grabbing snacks every 10 minutes.

Not only will this set you up for a better day ahead, it can also provide more restful sleep at night. That's because waking up and falling asleep at the same time sets your internal clock, or circadian rhythm, which makes for better quality sleep.

1. Maintain a fixed bedtime and waking time

Engle recommends giving yourself enough time in the morning to accomplish everything you need to do. She suggests planning backward from your first engagement, like your first meeting, or the starting time of your children's school, and waking up early enough to fit everything in; you may need anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes for your morning routine, depending on how many tasks it involves.  "Engaging thoughtfully in each part of the routine may reduce rushing and reactivity, and increase the sense of calm and pleasure obtained from completing the routine," says Engle.

2. Plan how much time you'll need

"Snoozes are a false start to the day. In the short-term, hitting snooze may feel like a win but it has limited utility in advancing the goal of achieving rest long-term," says Engle. If your body needs more rest, then you may need to adjust your schedule accordingly. Adults typically need between seven to nine hours of sleep per night. Onthe other hand, if you're hitting snooze because you're feeling overwhelmed by everything you have to do in the morning or trying to avoid the day ahead, Engle suggests waking up and doing one or two activities that bring you peace and enjoyment.

Not only does your mind create it, but you get to dictate&nbsp;how you create it. Is the donkey lonely and sad? Is it being beaten by a cruel master as punishment? Or does the fire hydrant seem kinda into it?Before this gets too weird, the point I’m trying to make is that reading is an inherently interactive medium. The conveyance of information is not only dependent on me writing these words, but also dependent on you actively choosing to read, interpret, and react to them.

This increase in mental creative effort then leads to all sorts of positive outcomes. Reading makes us more&nbsp;empathetic, improves our attention span, enhances logical reasoning, and so on and so forth.
