Gamification

Gamification

  • Fun user experience
  • Motivate the user to finish the task

When we decided to include a game inside the e-commerce, the design team will draw sketches like a game designer, wider scope, right?

This made product designers at least know how to draw even just a little bit, it might be an additional skill, but for me, I think it's a kinda-must-to-have.

Setting Standard and Guidelines

To be honest, I forgot what was this note about, but from my remembers.

It's about filtering the work you do, setting a standard and guidelines that will help you collaborate with others, and not letting everyone explore too much, instead, align them.

Involve stakeholders in every design (research) process

Involve stakeholders in every design (research) process

By involving stakeholders, they can be more empathetic with the users, not just caring about the business.

Example: In the research plan process, you can ask stakeholders to match it with their expectations.

Research insights determine how well the stakeholders engaged in the research process.

Case Study of Research with stakeholders' buy-in

Case Study of Research with stakeholders' buy-in

Let's say we want to understand about why people stick to offline shopping.

We as a design researchers with the stakeholders came to the stores/buyer houses, doing diary study to research the experience.

From the trivia things like how far the store is from buyer's house, even the complex one like how buyers make their routes from the time they enter the store until they leave.

By the time we finished the research, we can collab with the stakeholders not only from our perspective but also from theirs. Example: suggestion for acquisition strategy.

Crazy Idea

Crazy Idea

What if we create an online shopping experience that does not do shopping alone but as a group? Inspired by family shopping in the offline store.

People can add items to the same cart and let one person checkout/pay.

Maybe a family wants to do monthly shopping? The parents will be the pay-ers.

Maybe a group of gen-z want to do a party, one requests to buy this, the other ones do for other things, and then someone will pay for the sake of efficient time.
