Details matter, it's worth waiting to get it right.
People think focus means saying yes to the thing you've got to focus on. But that's not what it means at all. It means saying no to the hundred other good ideas that there are. You have to pick carefully.
Deciding what not to do is as important as deciding what to do.
It doesn't make sense to hire smart people and then tell them what to do. We hire smart people so they can tell us what to do.
You can't connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future.
