If you’re like most other people, you have a serious fear of public speaking, which is much less scary than you think it is and thus a relatively easy fear to conquer compared to a fear of dry-diving off a skyscraper while being eaten alive by spiders.

You should confront your fear of public speaking

It has to be true. Although you’re, as we said, a wonderful specimen of humanity, you don’t have the talent of a <a href="https://www.vox.com/culture/23954018/hasan-minhaj-new-yorker-controversy-daily-show-what-happened">Hasan Minhaj </a>, a <a href="https://www.theatlantic.com/international/archive/2012/03/the-sad-and-infuriating-mike-daisey-case/254661/">Mike Daisey </a>, or even <a href="https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/congress/timeline-rep-george-santos-fabrications-controversy-rcna66367">George Santos </a>that it takes to pull off a good lie in front of a large group. On stage, you’ll give yourself away, and even if you succeed as a fraud, that life is its own punishment.

Your story should be true

It needs a beginning, a middle, and an end. Our minds are relentless pattern-matching machines that are always trying to connect dots and make sense of the ice-cold absurdity of existence. Life is a mess, but as the auteur of your story, you can decide where it starts, where it ends, and what happens in the middle, as long as what happens in the middle is a) surprising in a way that b) makes sense and c) keeps raising the stakes so we stay engaged and entertained.

Learn how to structure a story

Rehearse the hell out of your story. When you get on stage, you’re going to go blank, so it’s better, as a rookie, to memorize the story, word for word. You can afford to loosen up later on, if you want.

Before you perform, PRACTICE

Use humor judiciously. If you blow a joke, or if you make a joke that seems forced when it’s supposed to be spontaneous, that will suck the energy out of the room. If you kill, you’ll get a lot of laughs, which is a high-quality problem but will seriously eat into your time. At least in LA, they enforce the five-minute limit fairly strictly. The judges will ding you for going over, plus it’s just rude, selfish, and narcissistic to outstay your welcome on stage.

Use humor judiciously

Don’t talk about pain that’s too fresh. We like you, and we don’t want to be actively concerned for your welfare.

In other words, according to the article, ads don't convince you a product is great, they try to convince you that using the product will make you look great in the eyes of others.

These associations can influence us to buy a product later, even if we don't consciously remember the ad.</li><li class="ql-align-justify">Cultural imprinting is about how ads change the culture by creating associations between a product and a group of people. </li></ul>So, the key difference between the two is the former works on an individual level, by creating positive associations between a product and our emotions, while the later works on a societal level, by creating associations between products and social groups.

Not every company can play the cultural game. Alternatives:- Informing customers about a product: "FYI, product X exists. Here's how it works. It's available if you need it." Hopefully by repeating it enough time sales happen.- Overt persuasion: "4/5 doctors prefer Camels" or "Verizon: America's largest 4G LTE network"- Making promises: Guarantee or warrantees, but more often a brand image. Like Disney = "family entertainment"- Honest signaling: an ads in a very expensive location. A huge billboard announces (subtextually), "We're willing to spend a lot of $ on this. Ads Don’t Work That Way

This indicates value to a searcher. They're more likely to respond to ads that include concepts important to them. Think about what the searcher wants from your ad. Is it reliability and trustworthiness?You may want to use language such as '"official site." Or do they want a wide selection of products? You may want to include "view our inventory." This is a great time to put those customer personas to use. Review the persona's goals and consider adding them to your ad.

Craft your messaging to focus on user needs and benefits.

Remember, the headline is the clickable link at the top of your ad.The description is below the headline, Google will automatically test combinations of headlines and descriptions, so be sure any combination will read well. It's important to include text from keywords, because that's what potential customers are thinking about.If your ad connects with what they're searching for, they may be more likely to click on it. Also, there are a couple of advanced tools that place the keyword in the headline in certain customizations for automatically tailoring ad Copy.

If there really isn't a benefit to the user, well, why would they even call today? Non-specific or generic calls to action, such as "'sign up today" or "book today" often show decreased engagement with ads.
Imagine you're writing copy for a property management company. Instead of writing "book now" in the ad, write "book your dream vacation rental." This is more specific and relates more closely to what the potential customer desires.

Avoid generic sales language. Use specific and relatable calls

Ad extensions are additional pieces of information that enhance search ads, making them more appealing and prominent. They provide helpful details such as location, call options, and app installs, especially beneficial for mobile users.Including multiple extensions can increase visibility and competitiveness on Google Ads. And when possible, try to enable at least four. Google Ads determines the best combination of extensions on an auction-by-auction basis.

Implement all ad extensions that make sense.

The ad and landing page work together to provide a great user experience.You should compare your keywords to the copy on the landing page and its overall user experience. The exact keywords don't need to be on the landing page, but the relevancy should be clear right away.Like, ask yourself questions such as,<ul><li>How useful is the landing page to someone who clicks on the ad?</li><li>Is the page well organized?</li><li>Does the text relate to someone's search terms?</li><li>Is the landing page clear in its directions?</li></ul>Ensure it loads quickly. If page loads take too long, users may get frustrated and leave the page.

When I started The Challenge, I would have loved creating videos to discuss these topics. But I am not a native English speaker – I am not that fluent. You may be a great orator. Or you may love writing. You may want to talk without showing your face. Whatever you want to do, you must pick it from the start and stick to it. Once you build a big audience, you may experiment with different content formats. 1 – You must choose your content format carefully.

Once you know what you want to do, you must understand how. And this implies two things:<ul><li class="ql-align-justify">research what people say about your hobby</li><li class="ql-align-justify">and research how people talk about it. </li></ul>Find the topics and trends other creators use.<ul><li class="ql-align-justify">The topics give you information on what people search online for a specific niche.</li><li class="ql-align-justify">The trends show which type of content works and will expose you to a bigger audience.</li></ul>

2 – You must research your hobby.

Last year, I attended a design class because I wanted to become better with infographics. However, the course focused a lot on branding. And one thing I learned is that you must have a unique value proposition (UVP) to catch the correct audience.A UVP is a short sentence that describes your product or brand. 3 – You must find your unique value.

No matter how good you are, there are only two categories of topics you can discuss online:<ul><li class="ql-align-justify">Topics you know, and you can teach people how to do them.</li><li class="ql-align-justify">And topics you ignore, and you can show people what you discovered.</li></ul>You don’t need much more. And these two categories will give you different advantages.<ul><li class="ql-align-justify">You will build authority when you share your expertise and achievements.</li><li class="ql-align-justify">And you will connect with people who share your struggles when you show them your failures. 4 – You must share your expertise and ignorance.

Showing your expertise and personality is a good strategy to build a side hustle with your hobby. 5 - You must connect and interact with people.
