We all learned and still learning the importance of time management but we still don’t know the power of ‘me’  time. One of my friends once said that there should be work-life balance. There should be ‘Me’ time for everyone. But many of us have never considered having ‘Me’ time. What I learned all my life is if you want to be successful then you have to give up all your free time and work hard. So we all did that thing that others had done. We chose time management over anything. We divided our days into hours and started setting goals for that. We never considered that we also need some time for ourselves. And in the end, we all burned out.

Late night working, or over time will not increase your rate of success overnight instead, it will decrease your productivity and creativity. Your physical health will leave the chat here. So take the control of your time and log out from work when you’re done. Remember one thing mental exhaustion is heavier than a physical one. If you’re mentally exhausted then you’ll drain physically too.

1. Even if you have a hectic schedule, try to log out when work is done

This doesn’t mean being a lazy person, that doesn’t do any kind of work or something like that. It means giving your mind at least one hour to refresh, relax and concentrate on other things.
You can watch the sky, and city roads from the window of your home or do nothing or just close your eyes and sleep. You can meditate.
You can do whatever in that one hour but just don’t do any kind of things related to work. This is also a kind of ‘Me’ time.

2. Don’t do anything at least an hour a day.

Self-care means pampering yourself. Like doing skincare, playing games or reading books, cooking some good food, or eating a whole pot of pasta by yourself. Health check-ups too.
Self-care is just like having ‘Me’ time. You’re doing it for yourself not for others not for any success not for money or not for retiring before the thirties. Just for yourself.

On the other hand, time management gives us a routine (it could be healthy or it could be bad too) to live a life in the discipline. It manages our time and priorities of work and balances the day. Both are important and both have different possibilities and outcomes. But in the end, it is in our hands how to have ‘Me’ time and manage our time at the same time.

You’re not committing to the changes you’re implementing for the rest of your life. You can always go back to the way you were doing it before. Validate your new strategy through experimentation.Viewing the changes as an experiment also helps you keep your expectations realistic. We don’t expect experiments to go perfectly on the first try. We expect to iterate based on data. When you hand off a process with an experimental mindset, you won’t be surprised if you see room for improvement. You’ll adapt based on feedback and keep moving forward.

The answer is simple and the reason is obvious: Having no proper and sophisticated plan in mind before starting something.

Don't run 4km straight away. Start with something small. Run 500 m for first day, then 550 m for second, 600 for third, 700 for 4th and 1 km for 5th and so on.</li><li>In this way, you'll never get tired and running daily will soon become your habit.</li></ul>

What Does A Plan Look Like

Always keep in mind the benefits of achieving your goals. That's going to be your biggest motivation. For example, tell yourself that if you run daily, your health will improve, your physique will get better, you'll have less chances of getting a cardiovascular disease, you'll become more self-disciplined, etc.

Swear and say to yourself that if I complete my daily goal, I deserve and reward. E.g., if I am able to finish my target of running for a 2 km distance, I'll eat an ice cream, I'll watch something I like to watch, I'll go for an outing, I'll buy myself a new Tshirt, etc. And If I give up, I don't deserve to eat Pani puri today.

Give Yourself A (Reward & Punishment) Daily 

There are a lot of ways to do it: Praying to God, Going to a Holy Place, Chanting Verses from a holy scripture, reciting something spiritual, focusing on something heavenly, etc.

Stack too involved an action on top of an existing habit and it’s bound to come tumbling down, no matter how stable the original habit. That's why Dr. Foynes suggests starting with a version of the new action that is very brief (no more than two to five minutes) in order to better guarantee it’ll stick, and then building from there.

Brevity 

Though brevity can inherently make a new task more doable, it’s also worth considering other elements of general attainability before you go stacking away. Look for the habits that are most ingrained and most consistently doable to ensure that anything you stack on top will be doable, too.

“It’s likely easier to stack together habits that have something to do with each other—like doing pushups with meditating, if they both make you feel more calm and empowered when you start your day—as opposed to stacking unrelated things, like making coffee and reading a book,” says Krastev. The more similar the items in your stack, the more likely you are to move seamlessly from one to the next until the whole thing is routine.
