Don't uptalk. You can prevent this by speaking on the out-breath as it will make your voice deeper and hence sound more confident.</li><li>Don't fake smile. People will notice it.</li></ul>

<ul><li>Nod three times. The other person will talk 70% more because nodding is a sign of warmth.</li><li>Tilt your head.</li><li>Add vocalisations such as "uhm, mhm, aha, oh". They also show warmth.</li><li>Use warm words that you want the other person to feel. "I can't wait to collaborate with you" will make the other person more collaborative. "I'd love to hug you right now" will make them feel the warmth of a hug on their skin.</li><li>Completely front the other person. Angle everything towards the person. The toes show in the direction someone wants to go, so they should be pointing to your partner.</li><li>Mirror their behaviour.</li></ul>

Toxic People To Avoid

Some people can't go long without complaining about something or someone. While everyone complains sometimes, it's important to find a solution for the problem. Often, the real problem is within our minds, not outside. If you spend too much time complaining, it's because you see yourself as a victim, not as the person who can change your situation.

When we have to deal with people who complain too much, our energy drops quickly. We try to help them or understand their situation, or it's because we are near a low-mood person. But the truth is that only they can change the situation.
Our way of seeing and dealing with the world reflects our internal world.

Everyone has narcissistic traits, which are part of being human. However, some people consistently manifest these traits in each "friendship" and relationship. These people have very low self-esteem but act like they're better than anyone else. It's a mental disorder, and while I'm not a psychologist, you can research online for the main traits and causes of this disorder.

<li>The person lacks empathy and acts/reacts as if they're better than everyone.</li>
<li>They seek admiration and compliments, becoming annoyed if they don't receive enough attention.</li>
<li>They have very low self-esteem and get angry or annoyed when discussing something they don't want to reveal.</li>
<li>Being around these people makes you feel stupid or blamed.</li>
<li>Even in a "good" relationship, you might occasionally sense some of these feelings, but they become very noticeable if the relationship is toxic. </li>
</ul>
(Remember that difficult moments don't necessarily indicate a toxic personality; someone might be reacting due to a sensitive situation.)

General 🚩 to Pay Attention To:

They ask for favors and get angry or annoyed if you don't meet their needs. This is a typical trait of narcissistic personality, and some people only engage with you to ask for favors. They don't give anything in return and don't care about you; they focus solely on their needs and problems.

Dramatic people see themselves as the main victim of every situation. Everything goes wrong, they suffer, and nobody helps them. Even the smallest things can become tragedies. 
They view the world negatively and believe their lives are terrible, assuming they can't change anything.

They can't control their anger and often yell at others because they struggle to control themselves. If they hurt you whenever they're angry, they are toxic individuals. Psychology shows a link between constant anger and depression, as well as how chronic anger can lead to hypertension, heart issues, and liver problems. How Long Does It Take to Trust Someone? We can never trust someone right away. This may be an obvious step for some of you, but if you really want to gain confidence, you need to step out of your comfort zone.Act spontaneously, change your response to situations, do things you would have never done before.You don't need to instantly go do the thing you fear most. A method that works for me when I feel too scared to do something, is to count down from 3 and just going for it.

A really important step to confidence is to have good people in your life. With this, I mean honest people who can encourage you, and don't bring you down. Of course, in some cases you cannot control the people in your life, such as colleagues or family members, but make sure you also have good people around to talk to.

You may not have confidence in yourself and are afraid to say things because you might be wrong, but trying is always better, even if you fail. Usually, people forget things that happened in a couple minutes or even in a matter of seconds. So if you do mess something up, getting back on track is all you need to do.Or, think about this: you may have seen a person in public doing something strange, but you usually don't care or forget it in about 10 seconds. Why would people respond differently to you?

The best way is just to dress the way you feel most comfortable and confident. We live around a bunch of other humans. Although not everyone is able to understand others, there are ways to improve. Empathising with different types of people can be very important for any kind of relationship. I really hope this helps some of you reading this.

Everyone around us has a different story. Our environment, our parents, friends and other people around us have a lot of influence over how we act or think. Especially when you're young, that's when your personality is created by your environment. Empathising with everyone can be really difficult, but think about how they were also shaped by their environment. Even if you don't like them, knowing this can already help a lot.

Everyone has flaws in their personality, whether you can see them or not. A lot of people hide their flaws because they think it may make them look better, but it's what makes us us. If you want to understand someone, you need to understand and accept their flaws. Everyone has them.

Nobody Is Perfect

If you ever have something to say about someone becauss you disagree, just keep it to yourself. Accept that there are people with different ideas from yours.A great way to understand someone with a different point of view or different way of thinking is just by striking up a conversation.

We are the main characters of our own stories. We think about ourselves most of the time and about what benefits us. Not everyone has capabilities of understanding others, which is okay. We should always try to better ourselves though.
