Being Stressed For Unknown Reasons

Being Stressed For Unknown Reasons

Many of us get stressed for a hidden, unknown reason, and start to overthink. The constant brain activity guzzles up our energy and exhausts us, like an engine running on idle, and there is a need to ‘dump’ the information load to free up the mind.

There are many techniques to practice brain dumping and get relief from constant anxiety and stress.

Brain Dumping: Free Flow

To put a chaotic mind to rest, one can simply grab a pen and piece of paper and start writing everything that is on one’s mind for 15 to 20 minutes.

It can be about your current problems, or your routine and all the stuff that is making you feel stuck. The rules are:

  1. Don’t stop writing for more than a few seconds.
  2. Don’t delete or rephrase anything.
  3. Use a time limit and avoid any directionless thinking.

Brain Dumping: Goal Focused

Plan for the next day by:

  1. Note down the top three priorities of the month.
  2. Divide the sheet into two and jot down the accomplished tasks that helped in the goals, on the left.
  3. On the right side, note down the tasks that were not useful.
  4. Do the tasks that take two minutes or less, then do the urgent and important tasks.
  5. The rest of the tasks can either be eliminated, postponed, or delegated.
  6. One can review the same at the end of every week to divide the goals into the various areas of your life.

Brain Dumping: Gratefulness

To reset your brain and stop the constant worry, you can write down the three things that you did right, and three things that you are grateful for, everyday.

Gratefulness needs to be practised to experience emotional relief and to kickstart the law of attraction (cause and effect), which is a universal law much like gravity.

Brain Dumping: Mistakes To Avoid

  1. Don’t start late, and try to practice the free-flow brain dumping every day.
  2. Write complete, unabridged notes and trust them. Ask yourself if you have included everything and prioritized the tasks in the correct order.
  3. Writing on a piece of paper using a pen helps with the brain dumping as it is visual, satisfactory, memorable and intentional.
  4. Take frequent breaks between tasks.
  5. Once you know the root cause, address them rather than the symptoms.
  6. Work on fewer projects, and do not multitask.
  7. Do not distract yourself with junk information which wastes your mental energy.

This app is LOADED with RELEVANT, HELPFUL, AND EDUCATIONAL material. It is creatively intellectual, yet minimal enough to not overstimulate and create a learning block. I am exceptionally impressed with this app!
