Mindfulness meditation is the best way to acquire knowledge and to improve your work efficiency and much more .
Much of our life energy is consumed by our efforts to define our "self.” It’s critical therefore for us to understand that our “identity” is in fact defined by our mental constructs of ourselves, most of which are created by the perceptions and reactions of others.
That's just my personal perspective. You choose what to do with it! Hopefully, I was able to provide another point of view with this thought experiment and that it helps one or the other to cope with their own emotions.
