Can I tell you something beautiful a guy in a mosque once told me?I was complaining to him about people being bad. I was saying: “I don’t understand: Why are people bad? How do people sleep at night? Why do they do this, why do they do that? I’ve been screwed over by people all the time and I’m the good person.”And he said: “No, no, no. Why do you look at things like that? Think of it in this way: We are all vessels. If people took the love from you, if they took the time from you, let them keep it; they needed it. And that resonated so much in me, that every time someone does me wrong now, yes, I’m human, I get hurt, but the pain is not what it used to be, because I’m like: “You know what? I’m sure God answered their prayer through me.”And then I look up at God and I say: “God, you have such an amazing sense of humour!”

Today I will be sharing with you all, at surface level what seems to be a very minute and easily dismissible idea, but one, that when truly understood has potential beyond imaginations. It is something that truly guided me towards the right path, and helped me find the missing piece in me that I thought would be never be found.

An idea that changed my life, for real!

I am someone who has sunk their teeth in self-help, motivational videos and books and other stuff to find inner peace. To grow as a human being and to find true happiness. But, if you've any idea about the reality, it's really really difficult to read a book or watch a video and find something that would actually be life changing. For me, I found that idea form of a Youtuber. HealthyGamerGG!

Origin of the Idea

The idea is very simple. But, you have to be open-minded to understand the idea, and shed some ego to actually implement it. Because, the idea would sound so simple that you would actually think of just brushing it off as another fad and move on. However, I would seriously recommend trying it out before shredding it. So, here it goes. Anytime, anywhere, whenever you have a negative emotion come to you in a situation. When you get angry, sad or defensive. Just ask a simple question to yourself. "Buddy, what happened, why did you feel this way?"

The idea: A simple Questions, "WHY"

Once you ask yourself this simple "why did you feel this way" question. You would be awestruck by the answer that might come from you. You didn't feel anger because someone said something bad about you, you felt angered because You have an insecurity about the thing that made you angry. And you're letting it out on the person who just pointed it out.

The Dialogue

Once, you understand that you felt that way because you think there is something wrong with you. That is the moment when you truly have to understand your brain. Dig deep and ask yourself, that whatever insecurity you have, is it really true?

Finding the Truth

When you ask the question, is it really true, what you will realize is that your brain has been lying to you. Your brain after some traumatic experience has protected itself inside a coating where it weaves stories and facts that aren't real. To understand that you exist outside of your brain. To realize that your brain does lie to you, and might be delusional, is where the real magic happens.

Viola!

In unfavorable situations, the necessity of fear for survival can override the pursuit of pleasure. This balance reflects the interplay between fear and pleasure in our lives. While pleasure is optional, when favorable conditions permit, it becomes a desire .

This concept can be illustrated through an experiment: Eliminating pleasure-related activities and in absence of fair(i.e. favorable conditions) can lead to a empty state because the basic nature of human behavior our mind process information continuously to pursue pleasure instantly or delayed. We are now re-engaging in activities that can benefit us in the future. During this phase, our fundamental feature to survive and dominate becomes apparent. This arises from our inherent fear of death and our pursuit of comfort and sexual pleasure.

This demonstrates that the basic feature of humans is survival and dominance. Certainly, there can be various modified versions of the survival and dominance nature, depending on individual perspectives which help in pursue goals in future which also help in persuing pleasure there or we can say delayed.
